UP GP-30

 

First built in the early 1960s, GP30's ran on the Union Pacific in high speed freight service. or 6 units were sometimes seen speeding a long freight train of 150 or more cars along the main line
  • New for 2006, Lionel GP30 diesels come fully equipped with the TrainMaster Command Control System and can be operated with the Handheld Cotroller or with the old transformers without the handheld
  • Features
  • RailSounds 5.0 sound system with new intelligible CrewTalk dialog, more TowerCom announcements and eight diesel RPM levels
  • Odyssey System (just like cruise control in your car) with ON/OFF switch
  • Directional lighting including LED headlights and marker lights
  • Front and rear ElectroCouplers - operate the couplers anywhere on the layout using the handheld controller
  • Two maintenance-free motors with momentum flywheels, Magne-Traction track gripping system and traction tires
  • Fan-driven smoke system, die-cast metal trucks, pilots and fuel tank, metal frame and many separately applied details replicating the fixtures on the real loco, including Illuminated number boards, illuminated cab interior and flashing strobe light
  • Operates on O Gauge or Fastrack or any other O Gauge curve with a radius of 31 inches or larger. Loco is 14 1/4 inches long.
