The New York Central Flyer is headed by a classic All Metal steamer in the lead just like days of old when the NYC freights cruised along the Hudson RiverIt offers a full digital sound system not available in lower priced sets With Lionel's famous forward, neutral and reverse system, the loco can be stopped in neutral( with the power on) and Milk Cars and all the other operating cars you may want to add in the future can be used. This system is only available in O gauge and not in any other gauge. You simply cannot have operating cars in the other gauges such as HO or G gaugeFor maximum fun we highly recommend purchase of our TS-50 operating and uncoupling track kit with your set. All cars and loco in the set have operating couplers, but the special track needed is not included in the set as supplied by the factory. This kit provides the special track required to operate the uncouplers, and will also operate any operating car you may purchase in the future.
