GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY GENERAL SET W/MINT CAR

 

Produced by Lionel in 2003. This set included the rare mint car. Also the first year Lionel included a handcar in a set.
  • The famous General steam locomotive hauls a fancy and unique old time train from the Gold Rush days of the far west, including a "Mint" with gold bullion load, a flatcar with horses, a pony express baggage and crew car
  • A self powered motorized handcar is included which can chase the train down the track or can be operated on it's own seperate loop of track
  • The locomotive puffs smoke, has headlight, an operating coupler (which uncouples cars at the push of a button), maintenance free motor, 2 traction tires, Lionel's famous remote control forward, neutral and reversing system for endless play value like nothing else in this world
  • Baggage car has an old fashioned steam whistle, horse car has removable horses and fencing on flat, there is a plated gold bulion load in the bullion car
  • Handcar has a maintenance free motor and 2 masked bandits pump the handle, simulating old time hand powered gang cars
  • All cars have painted bodies and are equipped with metal wheels, diecast trucks and remote controlled electric uncouplers
  • Includes 3 straight (6-12014), 8 curved (6-12015) and a terminal section (6- 12016) making a 40x60 inch Fastrack layout. Also has the CW-80 transformer, (80 watts) with lots of extra power for accessories and a "How to" video guide and smoke fluid
  • Purchase of our TS-50 uncoupling and expansion kit is highly recommended to be able to operate the remote uncouplers included on each car
