HO ENGINE HOUSE WITH HORN ***RARE***
|Built 1958-60. Lionel typically used components from its O and O27 Gauge lines to outfit an HO item, and the 0114 engine was was no exception. The building sits on a sheet metal base. The walls are painted red and the roof is tan. Windows and skylights are clear plastic. One HO track can be laid through the building -- there is an opening on each side. The other bay is occupied by the O27 diesel horn, which is operated using the No. 90 button that comes with it. The horn -- just like with O gauge diesels -- requires a D-cell battery for operation. This was a great way to provide an HO layout with sound. Unlike its kit -- and more common -- counterpart No. 0115 engine house, which came unassembled and without a horn, this one came pre-assembled.
