192 CONTROL TOWER

Built from 1959 until 1960. Replica of the tower used to control railroad yard operations. Based on Lionel's "vibrator" mechanism. Two operators move around the inside of the tower and the anomometer spins on roof when activated. Gray base, green tower, yellow building, and a green roof. Note that tower is based on 197 radar tower which utilized an antenna and, even though the 192 is equipped with a mount for this antenna, it was not provided with one. This is because the roof would interfere with the placement. Tower is quite rare and extremely fragile. The bulb illuminating the interior has a tendency to melt the roof!
