OPERATING CULVERT UNLOADER MANUAL

The 345 version of the Culvert Unloading Station was originally introduced in 1957. It was dropped in 1959. The 346 was introduced by Sears in 1966 as a hand-operated version. From 1966-1969, Lionel cataloged the 346 Culvert unloader listed as the 348. The only differences were as follows: A paper label reading "348" was pasted over the 346 on the box, the inner packaging was changed to accommodate the 6342 gondola car, and all reference to the 346 was removed from the instruction sheet. Because of this, the box and instruction sheet are critical to the value of the item. Black metal base, gray superstructure, red tower. A large metal crank protrudes through the unloader base. AAR-type trucks riveted directly to the body on the gondola car. Includes 7 culverts.
