LIONEL 2-4-2 260E STEAM ENGINE
| This is the unusual version of the 26OE loco with a solid yellow stripe painted on the side of the running board. The running board itself was cast as an integral part of the diecast frame, and a groove was formed in it to aid in positioning the stripe (have you ever seen one?)260E's were Lionel's top of the range locos until they were displaced by the 263's and untimately by diecast steamers.
