2814 O GAUGE BOX CAR CREAM & MAROON - MADE 1938-1939 ONLY
| The paint is just as bright and brillant as the day this car left the factory in 1938! There is one small rub to the left of one door, a ding on the other side by the door, a dulled thin rub extending across the walkway on the roof, and two dings on the edge of the roofThese forced us to grade the car as Excellent (C7), even though we think you will agree it looks brand newThis is the obscure vesion of the 2814 with a maroon roof, compared to the more readily available orange roof version. It also has the early version of the operating box coupler (with ribs molded into the top instead of the image of a knuckle coupler, and with a magnet raising the box instead of a push rod)The origial box has lost flaps on one end and has tape on other.
