2321 GREY TOP LACKAWANNA FM
The condition of the paint on this loco is one of the best we have found in many yearsIntroduced in 1954 and graded like new, (C8), the only marks are the tiny areas of missing maroon on one end as shown; almost every 2321 produced had more paint missing than this one due to factory painting problemsWe recently had a mint one missing more paintThe Lackawanna is Lionel's most powerful locomotive of the postwar era and we have yet to find anything more powerful Equipped with dual motors, magnetraction, horn, headlights and operating couplersThe Lackawanna used them in passenger and freight service; routinely handling commuter service in NJ during the day and freight between Hoboken and Scranton at night, they were the most powerful loco available when introduced in 1953The box has a large sticker attached. |
