| This painted blue version on grey plastic body is rarer that the Post-War Jersey Central and probably the rarest of all Post-War Lionel locodThe body of this locomotive is molded in gray plastic and is fully painted. The blue paint was applied first, it was masked, and vellow was applied over the blue, with "VIRGINIAN" subsequently rubber-stampedOnly a few blue 2331's were made this, (some estimates say less than 150)Regular blue 2331's have a body molded in blue plastic with only the yellow paintedThe color is distinctly different from the normal blue plastic versionGraded Excellent (C7) due to the crack on the right front corner as shown, two dings on the ajacant step, and four dings along the bottom (hardly visible if not magnified as is our photoHas usual screw hole crack but no scratches, and the overall appearance is Like New - we greatly magnified the photos of the crack etc. so you know exactly what you are getting!Please refer to our generic notes for more info on this extremely rare loco.
