| The 2242 New Haven in this set is considerdd by many to be among the rarest if not the rarest Post-War F3, making this set equally scarceNew Haven A unit body molds are different from all other F3's because the mold was changed to eliminate the "door handle" on the nose to provide a smooth surface to rubber stamp the NH on the noseThis set has the correct body Most New Haven's found today are fakes, being painted on bodies with Door Handle.This occured after Lionel released unpainted bodies in the late 60's The fakes also have rubber stamped 'New Haven' lettering and rubber stamed numerals '2242' instead of correct heat stamping on factory originalsAll cars are Like New with no excuses and with earler metal trucksThe loco looks Like New also, but minor marks on the engine as detailed here technically require a grade of Excellent (C7)The 3444 animated gondola has the correct directions dated 5-57The 6468-85 automobile box car has the correct black doors and a full serif on the "N" The 6464-425 New Haven box car has metal trucks and a full serifThe 6424 auto flat car has yellow and green premium cars - the same color as shown in the catalogLOCOMOTIVE DETAILS: The loco has three rubs in the white at the right rear and a rub in the silver edge above them, a rub in the silver above and forward of the engineer's side window, a ding on the roof, and two more along the left edge of the roofThere are boxes for the auto carrier, auto box car, animated gondola and caboose.
