| Nothing quite compares even today with the elegance of Lionel's original illuminated aluminum passenger cars - even today Lionel's new cars are great, but they somehow don't quite have that "secret sauce" used by Joshua Lionel Cowan to creat the Post-War mystique!The set grades Like New (C8), with just two dings on the observation, three obscure dings on the dome car (2532), and a rub spanning five ribs on the Silver CloudEvery time we grade an aluminum passenger car in Like New (C8) condition we know you can find a ding or scratch somewhere that we missed - all due to sloppy handling in the factory, but nothing can be seen from an inch or two's distance, and Like New properly describes the condition of this beautiful three car setThe 2531 observation has "Silver Bluff" nameplates affixed with hex nuts - this is a factory error as observations normally have "Silver Dawn" nameplatesThe 2532 Silver Range Vista Dome has hex nuts, and the 2533 Silver Cloud nameplates are the glued-on version (please note one Silver Cloud nameplate is missing).
