497 COALING STATION
| The fascinating 497 coaling station is all metal (except for the roof and coal hoist bin) and is arguably the most elaborate coal handling accessoryIt straddles the track, and the control levers unload a side dumping coal car, raise the coal to the coal bunker above, and open the trap doors to drop the coal back into the car parked underneathNote that the roof has two very fragile plastic tabs which engage square holes in the side the the bunker. The tabs were usually broken the first time the new owner inserted the roof. Both on this unit are broken. The missing tab does NOT affect operation, and the roof sits on the bunker without needing to be attachedThe accessory looks great, in spite of some paint damage as shown. It operates perfectly and is guaranteed and we have graded this example as Excellent (C7)Includes instruction sheet, and adapters for both O and O27 track (not pictured)Original box is complete with all flaps and includes original liner too.
