| PLEASE NOTE: we have included a Pre-War 657 metal caboose with this loco!229 locos with nickel rims always look classy; this one is exceptionally nice with no excuses and is graded Like NewThey are a really hard-working loco from the Pre-War period - without smoke or Magnetraction but they run like crazy!Has sharp looking silver rims, and you can make the wheels spin and have fun learning to slow them down until they start to have traction and begin to move the train just like the engineer had to do on the real steam locos. This is a unique characteristic of Pre-War locos which vanished when Magnetraction was introduced into Post-War locosHas 2666W whistle tender with original box coupler (NOTE: we can supply a tender with Post-War trucks/couplers on request if you want to run with Post-War, or provide two tenders (at an additional charge) if you want to run with both Pre and Post-War)The red caboose is the variation with a green roof and has lots of pinhole-sized lumps in the paint but there is no color change and no scratches and we suspect it left the factory in this condition (we have seen other tinplate-era trains with the same lumps). |
