| This set with the 2343 Santa Fe AA is spectacular with brillant red Santa Fe Warbonnets leading the four passenger carsThe cars are as good as it ever gets - you can always find tiny imperfections in Post-War Lionel aluminum passenger cars due to the manufacturing processes and handlingThis set is exceptional. We can't see amy scratches or dings on the ribs of the cars except for a cluster on the Silver Cloud Pullman which are so shallow you have to rotate the car to the light to make them visibleThe cars are a matched set and are the variation with nameplates attached with small round rivets. Frankly, we have probably not seen a more perfect set of aluminum passenger cars in many yearsWe grade the cars as Like New and the loco as ExcellentThe powered unit (first pictures) has marks on the rear rectangle on the roof, a dark spot on a "screen" on the left side, and rub marks on the left rear edge of the roofThe non-powered unit also has marks on the rear roof rectangle, near the rear on the left edge of the roof, and on the right side on the horizonal lines at the rear. With perfect red Warbonnets, please don't let our attempt to describe every mark (so you know exactly what you are getting) detract from the overall beautiful appearance of these locos!Windstorms in the long runs through the desserts of Santa Fe's routes sometimes created these marks!Reproduction boxes are included for all cars and loco, as well as an original instruction sheet. |
