2363 ILLINOIS CENTRAL F3 AB WITH BLACK LETTERS
| This beautiful Illinois Central is the version with black Illinois Central letters instead of brown letters. The passengers never knew there was a difference in color on their trip from Chicago to New Orleans, but us collectors have to have both variations!When on the shelf or layout you will think the A unit is Like New, but we graded the units as Excellent (C7) because the powered unit has white pinhead size dots on the roof ajacant to the louvers, and a paint rub on the light rear cornerThe B unit has a small mark on one roof rectangle. There is some corrosion around the edge of the battery compartment that has been blackened over and never will be seen on the shelf or layout unless you tip the loco upside downDon't let our attempt to show you exactly what you are getting detract from the overall great appearance!
