| Engine is in Like New condition, with that "flat black sheen" on the black like it just left the factory before oil from people's fingers and hands shined up the body!646's are extremely hard to find - 2046's are an identical engine and most were produced with the 2046 numberThis 646 loco is the second (1955 and later) variation, with heat-stamped lettering and plastic sheathed sheet metal four wheel trailing truck (1954 models had rubber-stamped lettering and diecast rear trailing truck)This loco was always handled with care. The 2046 tender has somewhat unusual New York Central markings instead of Lionel Lines, and has metal trucks and a water scoop. |
